Long-term Internship

1. Engineering (software / hardware)

For engineering-minded students, software or hardware

• Develop and evaluate control programs and AI models with ROS 2 and VLAs
• Prototype devices with Raspberry Pi and microcontrollers, and evaluate sensors and motors
• Build data-processing and visualization tools in Python or C++
• Design enclosures in 3D CAD
• Design environments for using AI, such as Isaac Sim and Isaac Lab

2. Business and research

For students interested in business, strategy, or starting a company

• Research domestic and international markets and competitors in robotics, AI, and hardware
• Help create presentations and business plans
• Help explore and write up ideas for new businesses
• Join meetings with partners and customers, and factory visits

3. Creative

For students interested in design, expression, or communications

• Plan and create social media and web content
• Design promotional materials and edit videos
• Help plan trade-show and event materials and brand communications

Must have

• Enrolled in a four-year university or graduate school (any year, any major)
• Eager to learn new fields on your own and deliver results
• Drives your own work and keeps the team informed
• Values communication with the team
• Basic IT skills (experience with online meetings and document tools)

Nice to have

• Has taken the lead in making something from scratch (e.g. drawings, illustrations, electronics, apps, products)
• Language skills (e.g. English, Chinese)
• Has helped run a student organization, research project, or startup
• Enjoys themes that cross boundaries: technology and society, hardware and software, business and art

• Curious about cutting-edge technology and, just as much, about the industries that keep society running
• Enjoys learning while building, even when things are unfinished
• Respects other people's views while speaking in your own words
• Has your own standards and your own curiosity
• Gets excited by new problems
